Requests for Information
PVSC collects and analyzes a variety of information for the purposes of determining the accurate assessment values of properties across the province.
Under Section 21 of the Nova Scotia Assessment Act, you are required to return the requested information to PVSC within 30 days of receiving this request.
Under Section 23 of the Nova Scotia Assessment Act, you will lose the right to appeal your assessment if you fail to return the requested information within that time. You will also lose the right to appeal if you submit a reply that does not contain the requested information or contains statements like “same as last year”.
If you did not receive a request for information in the mail but believe that you should have, please contact PVSC.

Information submitted to PVSC as part of these requests is confidential, except as required by law.
